Former Phillies outfielder Delmon Young charged with attacking attendant

MIAMI (AP) - Major League Baseball player Delmon Young was arrested after authorities say he choked and threatened a parking attendant at a Miami hotel.

A police report says the former Baltimore Oriole and current free agent grabbed the attendant's neck and called him a "stupid Cuban" Sunday night. The attendant told police he had refused to let Young on an elevator to a club at the Viceroy Miami, because the club was closed. The report says Young left the area for a short time but then returned and attacked the attendant again.

The attendant got away and called police.
