IN AN ALBUM titled, Anticipation, comedian Lewis Black offers several suggestions to ward off the inevitable disappointment that, he says, always follows that word.

Recreational golfers should simply go to the first tee, take a look out at the beautiful day, and retire to the clubhouse, "Where they really belong." The employee, given a project to be completed by the end of the week, should instead put both feet up on the desk. And when asked at the end why it was not completed, the response should be: "Because I didn't want to disappoint you.
