Charlie Manuel, Larry Bowa plan to ‘sleep out’ in support of homeless youth

Charlie Manuel, Larry Bowa and a team of Philadelphia Phillies executives are planning to spend a night out in the cold to raise both awareness and funds for homeless youth. The event is scheduled to take place from Nov. 21 to Nov. 22 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. at The Friends Center in Center City Philadelphia.

Manuel made the announcement via his twitter page on Tuesday:

The event is apart of the Covenant House’s Sleep Out Movement, which is a challenge to sleep outside for one night with a sleeping bag to raise awareness for youth homelessness.
