Baseball America lists Franklyn Kilome as third-best Phillies prospect, J.P. Crawford still No. 1

With teams enjoying their last day off during the All-Star Break before second half action begins Friday, Baseball America released its Midseason Prospect Update for the Phillies.

The list looks a little different than their last rankings, unveiled in February.

Shortstop J.P. Crawford still heads the list, however, Maikel Franco, who was third, is gone because of his arrival in the majors May 15. Taking Franco’s place is right-hander Franklyn Kilome, currently with Single-A Williamsport. The 20-year-old has allowed one earned run in 16 2/3 innings so far this year.

Outfielder Aaron Brown and lefty Matt Imhof have fallen out of the top 10, while righty Ricardo Pinto and shortstop Malquin Canelo join the rankings.
