On Twitter today, Jim Peyton of Phuture Phillies posted an updated Phillies minor league roster. This is not official and could certainly change at some point this weekend, but the players not included on the minor league roster do comprise a clear 25-man roster for the Phillies. Call this an educated guess at the Opening Day roster:
Catchers (2): Carlos Ruiz, Cameron Rupp
Infield (6): Andres Blanco, Maikel Franco, Freddy Galvis, Cesar Hernandez, Ryan Howard, Darin Ruf
Outfield (5): Emmanuel Burriss, Peter Bourjos, Tyler Goeddel, Odubel Herrera, Cedric Hunter
Rotation (5): Jerad Eickhoff, Jeremy Hellickson, Charlie Morton, Aaron Nola, Vince Velasquez
Bullpen (7): Jeanmar Gomez, David Hernandez, Dalier Hinojosa, Hector Neris, Brett Oberholtzer, James Russell, Daniel Stumpf
The only question on the position player side was who would take the final outfield spots and it appears the answer is Burriss and Hunter.
