Chase Utley talks potential trade, interested in moving to a top contender?

In this look into Phillies trade rumors, the Philadelphia Phillies and Chase Utley have been an inseparable combination for the first 14 years of the celebrated second baseman's MLB career.

Utley would like that partnership to continue, regardless of the team's struggles during the first half of the 2014 MLB season.

''The grass isn't always greener on the other side,'' Utley said Monday, via The Score. ''I've picked some brains over the course of the last few years. I really enjoy Philadelphia. I love playing baseball in Citizens Bank Park. I love playing in front of Philly fans. There's no better place to play in my opinion. Obviously winning is important and you want to do that, and I would like to do that in Philadelphia.''

While Utley wants to remain a Phillie, he does understand that there could come a time where the team could trade him in an effort to retool.

''If someone at some point comes up to me and says you're not wanted in Philadelphia anymore, I might have to rethink that,'' he stated. ''I think if I was a betting man I would say probably there will be no change.''
