There’s been room for speculation, and plenty of fans (this one included) were holding out hope that Ron Hextall had a trick up his sleeve on the matter, but it appears the Philadelphia Flyers are not in serious pursuit of forward Jimmy Vesey.
Vesey, as we’ve been telling you, is wrapping up a fantastic college hockey career. As an unsigned former 3rd round pick, Vesey became a free agent yesterday. With his salary strictly limited by NHL rules, and his potential to be an immediate top-6 forward, most NHL teams had some level of interest in Vesey.
