Flyers-Maple Leafs Preview: Two teams coming off messy games
- The Leafs, 7-3-0, are coming off their own clunker, a 6-3 home loss to Carolina Thursday night. That followed a 3-2 victory over the Kings that was no gem, either. Matt Martin and former Flyer James van Riemsdyk are not expected to play due to injuries. Kasperi Kapanen, the 21-year-old son of former NHL player Sami Kapanen, was called up and is expected to play for the first time this season. The Flyers are tied for fifth in the league in goals scored but have only eight over the last four games.
