It’s been just over five months since the Flyers’ 2015-16 season came to an end on April 24 with a 1-0 loss to the Washington Capitals in Game 6 of the first round of the playoffs. Tonight, they’ll play their first official contest (contests, even!) of the 2016-17 season, as the training camp team will take part in a split-squad evening of hockey across the greater New York/New Jersey area.
20 members of the Flyers’ camp roster will be playing in Newark against the Devils, while another 20 will be in Brooklyn to take on the Islanders.
Neither of these games will be on television, but you will be able to watch the Flyers-Islanders game live on the Flyers’ website beginning at 7:00 p.
