Fans at Lincoln Financial Field had an initial glimpse of it in the season opener when the Eagles scored their first touchdown of 2016. The Philadelphia faithful saw it again this past weekend when Carson Wentz connected with Jordan Matthews on a 12-yard reception that allowed the receiver to find the end zone for the second time this year.
Some have labeled the move a celebration, but not Wentz and Matthews. For them, putting points on the board is their job and that’s what their post-touchdown acknowledgement is all about.
