It’s highly unlikely defensive end Connor Barwin will be playing for the Philadelphia Eagles next season. Barwin is scheduled to make $8,350,000 in 2017. By cutting him, the Eagles would save $7.75 million, giving the team some extra money to spend in free agency.
However, it seems the Eagles may be able to get something in return for the 30-year-old lineman.
According to a report from NJ.com’s Mark Eckel, multiple teams have expressed interest regarding a potential trade for Barwin.
They could restructure the remaining two years on his contract and keep the 30-year-old likely for the rest of his career.
