Phil Simms can appreciate the journey from small-school football to the NFL. He played at Morehead State, was a first-round draft pick of the New York Giants (1979) and, of course, went on to become a Super Bowl winner (twice). Simms, in town as the color analyst for the CBS broadcast of Steelers-Eagles, is just as curious to see how quarterback Carson Wentz and the Eagles match up against Pittsburgh as we all are.
“After two games, and then seeing him live (in practice) throwing the ball, I can’t wait to see him on Sunday,” Simms said as part of his preparation for the CBS broadcast on Sunday from Lincoln Financial Field.
