Jeffrey Lurie explains why the Eagles invested so many resources in quarterbacks

It's simple.

Much has been made about how the Eagles invested a lot of resources in the quarterback position this offseason. Philadelphia is set to pay Sam Bradford, Chase Daniel, and Carson Wentz a total of $43 million this year. Then there's the fact the Eagles gave up five picks, including a 2017 first, in order to trade up to acquire Wentz.

During the NFL meetings in Charlotte this week, Eagles CEO and chairman Jeffrey Lurie explained why the franchise invested in quarterbacks.

"We see it differently than I guess some other people may," Lurie said via Jenny Ventras of The MMQB.
