Former Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho, now an ESPN analyst, rips team’s medical staff

Last night, the Eagles selected Washington cornerback Sidney Jones in the second round of the NFL draft. Jones was widely considered a first round prospect, and arguably one of the most talented cornerbacks in the entire draft, but fell to the second round due to a ruptured Achilles tendon that could sideline him all of next season.

While the pick was greeted with praise by most pundits and fans willing to be patient about the prospects of Jones’ recovery, other were less kind, criticizing the Eagles for selecting an injured player when other healthy cornerbacks (such as Florida’s Quincy Wilson) were still on the board.
