Eagles like third-round pick Rasul Douglas' size, ball skills, competitiveness at cornerback

The Eagles did not enter the second day of the draft with the objective of selecting two cornerbacks, but they followed the second-round pick of Sidney Jones with the addition of West Virginia cornerback Rasul Douglas at the end of the third round.

In Jones and Douglas, the Eagles believe they found two “complementary” cornerbacks who represent the most significant organizational draft commit to the position since 2002.

The appeal of Douglas is a 6-foot-2, 209-pound frame that gives him notable size for the position, and proven ball skills after leading college football with eight interceptions last season.
