A week ago today, the Philadelphia Eagles made their first selection in the 2018 NFL Draft by trading up to draft a tight end.
But not just any tight end, as we know. A tight end named Dallas. The Eagles did this while the NFL Draft was being hosted in Dallas . And they traded up ahead of Dallas [the Cowboys] to take him. Talk about a power move.
We’ve since learned that Goedert received his first name because his father was a Cowboys fan. (Ensue booing.) However, Goedert became a Packers fan growing up due to the presence of his step-dad.
