Eagles rumors suggest Philly is still in the market for a running back who they could pair with Miles Sanders. The Philadelphia Eagles are light on running back depth heading into the 2020 NFL Season and have been linked most recently to both Carlos Hyde and LeSean McCoy. LeSean McCoy rumors about a possible return to Philadelphia popped up after McCoy mentioned that he could see himself ending his career with the Eagles. McCoy made 3 Pro Bowls during his time with Philly from 2009-2014. Despite Shady entering the 13th year of his NFL career, he’s made it clear that he wants to play at least one year.
Another free agency target has been Carlos Hyde who is coming off his first career 1,000-yard season. Hyde is among the best veteran RB still on the market and would compliment Miles Sanders in the Eagles’ backfield. Carlos Hyde is set to turn 30 in September but has been one of the most consistent and reliable backs over the last several years.
The Eagles have also expressed interest in Devonta Freeman according to Mike Garafolo. Freeman was released by the Atlanta Falcons this off-season after missing 16 games over the last 2 seasons due to nagging knee and foot injuries. Freeman can catch the ball out of the backfield but his ability to stay healthy is a big red flag.
