The Eagles made headlines recently by hiring Chip Kelly as their new head coach. Now the Eagles need to name who will be the new defensive coordinator as well.
One of the names rumors to be a favorite for the defensive coordinator position is San Francisco 49ers assistant coach Ed Donatell.

Given how outstanding the 49ers defense has been over the past few years and the Philadelphia Eagles already have great players on the defensive side of the ball, Donatell would be a great hire.
Despite having many all-stars on defense the Eagles defense was abysmal last season and desperately needs retooling.
If the Eagles want an old school minded coach who will bolster their defensive scheme, then Donatell is their man.
