Eagles' Nick Foles shrugs off the trade rumors, believes he's Philly's starting quarterback

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles' hold on the team's starting quarterback role heading into 2015 may be tenuous based on which rumors you're led to believe. However, the 26-year-old isn't letting the noise get to him.

"I'm still being introduced as that, but then you get asked different questions, the rumors and everything, so that is a part of it," Foles said on NFL Network, via NFL.com. "But still getting introduced, and that's, in my mindset, that's where I'm at.

"It's always about the trade rumors -- that's always the hot topic," he added. "But that's one of those things where you just have to smile about. The only thing I listen to is what (coach) Chip (Kelly) decides, and that's all I care about."

Foles has at least one high-profile player publicly fighting for him as the team's quarterback of the here and now - running back LeSean McCoy, who backed Foles as the Eagles' starter last month on NFL Network.

"That's really what matters; your teammates believe in you to be the starting quarterback, to be the guy that's gonna lead 'em, and that's why I love playing there," Foles said. "We have a great group of guys. They believe in me, I believe in them, and I know that because of that, that's how you win games, that's how you win games in the fourth quarter is that belief that carries through. No matter what adversity you go through before, in that moment, you want to lean on the guys that you trust."
