Sixers trade Kendall Marshall to Jazz

In a move that has become very familiar to 76ers fans over the past few years, the team traded a marginal player for a pair of second-round picks and picked up a player to help another team unload some salary.

Guard Kendall Marshall was sent to the Utah Jazz for two future second-rounders and center Tibor Pleiss. The trade was first reported Friday by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Marshall's $2 million contract was due to become guaranteed tomorrow and reports are that the Jazz will release him before then.

With an abundance of big men already on their roster, it seems doubtful the Sixers will retain Pleiss.
