"Panda" rapper Desiigner will perform at the half-time show of the Sixers' homeopener against the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 26. R&B songstress Sevyn Streeter will sing the National Anthem before the game. Tickets are on sale now.
Desiigner is a fave of Kanye West, who signed the 19-year-old to his GOOD Music label and sampled "Panda" on The Life of Pablo. West's influence certainly helped the initially self-released trap rap hit knock Rihanna and Drake's "Work" off the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year. The 19-year-old Brooklynite is a departure from previous Sixers performers, such as Cupid, of "The Cupid Shuffle" fame.
