It’s easy to be gracious when you’re standing on top of the world.
The Sixers won the NBA draft lottery last week and, suddenly, the team Sam Hinkie made worst was first. The time was ripe to seek some recognition for the deposed.
Sure enough, in the afterglow on the ballroom floor of the Hilton Midtown, coach Brett Brown offered a few morsels of gratitude and recognition. A few feet away new general manager Bryan Colangelo did the same.
“I think he deserves to be talked about,” said Brown, who endured the brunt of Hinkie's reign.
