The Delaware 87ers are no more.
In conjunction with their impending move to Wilmington, the Philadelphia 76ers G-League franchise has gone into the Lake of Reincarnation and has emerged as the Delaware Blue Coats.

The new name/branding is a nod to the 1st Delaware Regiment soliders of the American Revolution, while the team’s logo depicts former Delaware politician Caesar Rodney’s famous 70-mile horseback ride en route to the Second Continental Congress.
