Updated at 9:50 a.m.

Mizzou defensive end Nate Howard has been suspended indefinitely by Tigers coach Barry Odom after the junior was arrested by campus police Wednesday night.

Howard was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and suspicion of marijuana possession (10 grams or less) and booked at the Boone County Jail after police said they found illegal mushrooms and marijuana in the vehicle he was driving.

Howard was also charged with lack of proper vehicle registration. His bail was set at $5,500. He was still in the jail Thursday morning, per online records.
