During college football's evaluation and contact periods, it's not uncommon for a program to send coaches to recruit all over the country, by themselves or in groups, to check in on the academic progress or athletic abilities of a current or future prospect.
Programs like Penn State often determine who is going where based on need, time, geographical travel factors, and the position of a recruit.
But for two of the Lions' coaches, the program had little choice when it came to where they were going to help close out the program's class of 2016.
