Penn State wrestling claims fifth conference title in six years

For the fifth time in six years, Penn State gathered at the center of the mat to take its team photo with the Big Ten championship trophy.

The Nittany Lions took home three individual titles as well as the team championship in this year’s conference tournament on Sunday in Iowa City, Iowa.

Zain Retherford (149 pounds) and Bo Nickal (174 pounds) stood at the top of the podium for the first time in their careers, and for the second-straight year senior Morgan McIntosh won the 197-pound championship.

Cael Sanderson’s squad finished the two-day tournament with 150.
