On Tuesday morning, Penn State was selected fourth in the 2016 Big Ten Preseason Poll while junior players Ali Frantti and Haleigh Washington were also awarded Big Ten honors.
Washington, who was one of four nominees to be voted in via unanimous decision from the league's 14 head coaches, and Frantti earned their second straight nomination to the 2016 Preseason Big Ten Volleyball Team, having earned the same honor in 2015.
Washington was also voted to the 2015 team by unanimous decision.
Last season, Washington, who started in all 34 matches, posted at least two blocks in all but one.
