Coming into its away series at Ohio State, Penn State looked to keep its seven game winning streak and undefeated conference record alive.
But in game one of the double header at Buckeye Field in Columbus, Ohio, the Buckeyes put an end to both of the Nittany Lions’ objectives.
The Nittany Lions (17-16, 6-2 Big Ten) fell to the Buckeyes (21-8-1, 6-1-1 Big Ten) in the doubleheader conference matchup on Wednesday, falling 3-0 in game one and 12-10 in game two.
Problems at the plate for the Lions were the main contributor to the shutout loss in game one.
