In a lot of ways, Saturday followed the script of the early part of the season for No. 10 Penn State.
Mac O’Keefe scored — a lot. Eight times to be exact.
Colby Kneese made some timely saves to preserve a shrinking Nittany Lions (4-0) lead.
And crucially, Penn State remained undefeated.
All of these trends have been consistent themes in the Nittany Lions’ undefeated start to the season, as Penn State prevailed, 17-12, over Villanova on Saturday.
But one early trend that didn’t show up in Saturday’s game was Penn State’s dominance at the faceoff X, where freshman faceoff man Gerard Arceri and his unit have been completely dominant.
