Applause roared through the basement the U.S. Bank Arena as Penn State's underclassmen thanked the senior class for all they have done for the growing program.
“You can see how much they care about each other,” coach Guy Gadowsky said. “I know it’s tough now, but I’m sure in a short time, the team, especially the seniors, will look back on this season with a lot of fondness because they’ve accomplished a great deal.”
Seeing the seniors after the final buzzer, following Penn State's 6-3 loss to No. 1 Denver in the second round of the NCAA tournament, was gratifying, Gadowsky said, because he was not sure they could have “envisioned something this special,” being a part of such a “magical and tremendous” season.
