Penn State Football: Christian Hackenberg still progressing

The New York Jets’ handling of their quarterback situation became the running joke of the 2016 NFL season. A dearth of talent under center and lack of playmakers made for a terrible season. A group of three quarterbacks threw for 3,466 yards, 16 touchdowns against an abysmal 25 interceptions while completing 56.5 percent of their passes. The biggest positive is that former Penn State football QB Christian Hackenberg’s name and numbers aren’t in that group.

Hackenberg is still an enigma in terms of in-game regular season action. The 2016 second round pick sat and waited and many said that, because he wasn’t ready.
