Penn State Football 2018: Three Nittany Lions to Watch Against Kent State

Would the real Penn State Nittany Lions please stand up?

After two games, the Nittany Lions have one of the most prolific offenses in the country, ranking 16th nationally in points per game (48.0). They also rank near the bottom of the FBS in rush defense (202.0 yards allowed per game).

At times Penn State has looked like an unstoppable force on offense, but a pushover on defense.

A complete 60-minute game showing dominance in all three phases needs to be on the menu this weekend. The Nittany Lion players are unlikely to admit it, especially with James Franklin’s weekly Super Bowl mantra getting headlines, but while keeping one eye on their opponent this week, the Nittany Lions are likely peeking ahead to Ohio State, Penn State’s opponent on September 29th.
