Penn State fencers travel to Ohio to compete in the Junior Olympics

Very few people can say they get the opportunity to compete at the Olympic level, but several members of the Penn State fencing team get that chance every season.

This weekend, several Nittany Lions under 20 years old will travel to Cleveland, Ohio to compete in the Junior Olympics. Competition for the Lions is set to begin on Friday morning and conclude Monday afternoon.

Among the names from the Lions lineup competing this weekend are a large number of freshmen, including Joshua Cole, Karol Metryka, Gavin Turner, Julian Fevry, Anton Piskovatskov, Marcel Dolegiewicz, DeAna Oliver, Nicolette Vigna and Brad Devito.
