Former Penn State men's hockey player Casey Bailey signs with Bridgeport Sound Tigers

Former Penn State forward Casey Bailey signed with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, an AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, for the 2017-2018 season.

Bailey, 25, spent three years at Penn State from 2012-2015 before signing a two-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The fourth-year pro played for the Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, during the 2015-2016 season.

He was then traded to the Ottawa Senators mid-season where he played the majority of his games for the the Binghamton Senators, their AHL affiliate.

Last season, Bailey tied for the team lead in goals by netting 21 while adding 16 assists, totaling 37 points in 62 games.
