Penn State's recruiting goals between now and September are simple, which makes sense. Because ideally, the process of finding the next Saturday superstars out of nationwide pool of fantastic Friday night prospects should be.
It isn't, though. Far from it. But the Nittany Lions, with eight commitments already in the class of 2016 and a chance at nine by Friday, are aiming to grow their commitment list and keep their list of top targets that don't commit mostly in tact over the next three months.
"There's the pool of kids that have committed to us, and there's the pool that's still kind of available," Penn State director of player personnel Andy Frank said in an interview with PennLive last week.
