Penn State's 2015 recruiting class was a terrific collection of players that filled the right voids at the right time for a program looking for help in nearly every area. The group of 25 signees had a consensus top-15 ranking from all four major recruiting services and was better than across the board than the '14 group coach James Franklin scrambled to sign.
All things considered, Franklin's first two classes were close to a best-case scenario. Scholarship restrictions remained a factor until last September and likely played a part in more premium prospects opting to go elsewhere.
