Penn State snags verbal pledge from Illinois defensive end Joseph

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The future of Penn State’s defensive line continues to become clearer, and another piece was added this afternoon.

Penn State picked up a verbal commitment from 2016 Lake Forest, Ill. defensive end Daniel Joseph, a Rivals three star and 247Sports four-star prospect. Joseph is the fourth defensive lineman to give the Nittany Lions his verbal pledge in the last week, joining a trio of defensive tackles who look to give Penn State plenty of bodies up front in the coming years.

Joseph, who picked Penn State over scholarship offers from the likes of Maryland, Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan and Michigan State, is the 15th player to verbally to commit to the class and the sixth player to do so in June.
