Tigers' Wallace provides leadership, more

STOCKTON - T.J. Wallace did what great leaders do.

The senior guard and captain of the Pacific men's basketball team stepped up and provided the effort on both ends of the court the Tigers needed to beat Pepperdine 79-74 in a West Coast Conference game Thursday at Spanos Center. The victory came five days after Pacific fell flat at BYU and drew the ire of Coach Damon Stoudamire, who expressed his disappointment with the effort that resulted in the Tigers' 29-point loss.

On Thursday, after Wallace scored 25 points, one shy of his career high, and dished a career-high 10 assists, Pacific's first-year head coach had good things to say about his players in general, and Wallace in particular.
