Powerful Bats Not Enough For Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific Tigers made a comeback on the strength of their power bats but would end up losing 7-6 to the Pepperdine Waves in game one Saturday. The Tigers hit four homers but couldn't get the win and fall to 9-11 this year. Pepperdine is 11-9.

Danny Mayer had his second multi-homer game of the season while Matt Tarantino and Ryan Schalch also left the yard.

Ryan Shreve struck out a career-high six batters in his six innings of work, making it back-to-back six-inning outings for the freshman.
