Big Third Holds Up For USF Over Pacific Baseball

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Ryan Schalch went 3-for-3 with a double, and James Free II drove in two, but USF took the rubber game of a three-game set Sunday, 7-5, at Bendetti Diamond in San Francisco.

The Dons scored six runs, five unearned off Reynoso (5-7), in the third inning and the Tigers seventh-inning comeback bid fell short.

Reynoso allowed eight hits and two earned runs in six plus innings, with four strikeouts. Vince Arobio tossed two shutout innings out of the bullpen.

USF starter Grant Goodman (4-4) picked up the win, going 5.
