Baseball Topped By Sacramento State, 5-2

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific baseball team's three-game win streak in midweek games was snapped Tuesday as Sacramento State posted a 5-2 win at Klein Family Field. James Free II turned in three hits and scored one of the Tigers two runs.

Justin Giovannoni tossed five innings and allowed just six hits, but the Hornets made the most of them, plating two runs of the Tigers starter, who falls to 0-2. Giovannoni struck out three while walking none and made it through his five innings on just 52 pitches.

Sacramento State's Austin Roberts (2-0) allowed four hits in five innings, allowing one unearned run to pick up the win.
