Two injured Senators expected back in lineup soon

RALEIGH, N.C. - There is a light at the end of the tunnel for the walking wounded.

Speaking to reporters that travel with the Senators Wednesday morning outside the club’s hotel, GM Pierre Dorion indicated wingers Mark Stone and Mike Hoffman could play as early as Sunday against the Florida Panthers.

Stone is sidelined with a neck injury he suffered last Sunday against the Winnipeg Jets on a hit from Jacob Trouba while Hoffman is out with a groin ailment that forced him to leave the same game.

Neither has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes but that sounds like it won’t happen.
