Sens start road trip on the right note in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS — The Ottawa Senators are hoping their trip here is a step through the gateway to the playoffs.

The Senators officially passed the midway point of the season with a 6-4 victory over the St. Louis Blues to open this difficult three-game trip with a huge two points Tuesday night.

Led by a two-goal efforts from Mike Hoffman and Mark Stone along with two-point nights from Kyle Turris, Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Tom Pyatt, the Senators extended their winning streak at the Scottrade Center to four straight.

Bobby Ryan also scored while Mike Condon got the win with 19 stops.
