News Release: Senators name Martin Raymond assistant coach

OTTAWA – Ottawa Senators general manager Pierre Dorion announced today the hiring of Martin Raymond as assistant coach.

Raymond, 49, joins Ottawa’s coaching staff composed of head coach Guy Boucher, associate coach Marc Crawford, assistant coach Rob Cookson, goaltending coach Pierre Groulx and video coach Kristopher Young.

A native of Pierrefonds, Que., Raymond worked previously with Boucher as an assistant coach with the American Hockey League’s Hamilton Bulldogs in 2009-10 and also held the same role with the Tampa Bay Lightning throughout Boucher’s tenure with the club. Most recently, he served as the head coach of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Drummondville Voltigeurs where he led the team to a record of 82-71-8 over 161 contests in two-plus seasons.
