OTTAWA – Ottawa Senators (@Senators) general manager Pierre Dorion announced today that the club has dismissed head coach Dave Cameron and assistant coaches Andre Tourigny and Rick Wamsley. Assistant coach Jason Smith has been relieved of his coaching duties and has been offered another position within the organization.
Cameron, 57, became the 11th head coach in franchise history when he was promoted to the position on Dec. 8, 2014. Prior to his appointment as head coach, he spent the previous three-plus seasons as an assistant coach with the Senators, after initially being hired by the club on June 23, 2011.
