DENVER - Matt Duchene only had to look at the schedule to know he'd be asked about more than his scoring exploits Wednesday morning.
He only had to see the Ottawa Senators were in town to know that he would also be asked about trade rumours.
"I figured I'd be getting some questions this morning," the Colorado Avalanche star said with a laugh. "I was waiting for that."
Based on conversations between GMs Bryan Murray and Joe Sakic, the Senators were the team most linked to the rumours that Duchene could be on the move. In the end, Ottawa would not be willing to offer anything close to what Sakic would want in return.
