News Release: Senators agree to terms with defenceman Patrick Mullen to a one-year, two-way contract

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has agreed to terms with defenceman Patrick Mullen on a one-year, two-way contract extension. The contract will carry an annual value of $600,000 in the National Hockey League and $150,000 in the American Hockey League.

Mullen, 29, scored five goals and added 24 assists for 29 points while recording 32 penalty minutes in 54 games with the Binghamton Senators last season. He was acquired by Ottawa from the Vancouver Canucks on March 4, 2014, in exchange for forward Jeff Costello.

Undrafted, Mullen was originally signed by the Los Angeles Kings as a free agent on April 3, 2009, following a four-year collegiate career with the University of Denver (WCHA).
