At the end of the day, a 3-year deal was not tabled by the Ottawa Senators and forward Erik Condra headed down south to join the Tampa Bay Lightning—cup contenders in their prime.
Condra is an extremely valuable piece and fits well in Tampa’s system in terms of depth. It was late in the season and during the Senators’ playoff stretch where Condra became an extremely reliable 3rd line player, as he led a trio of youngsters with Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Curtis Lazar alongside.
Now, he’s off to Tampa, at an AAV of 1.25 million for 3 years.
