The Buffalo Sabres today announced that Terry Murray and Dave Barr have been hired as assistant coaches to serve on head coach Dan Bylsma’s coaching staff.
Murray returns to the NHL coaching ranks after spending the last three seasons as head coach of the Lehigh Valley/Adirondack Phantoms (AHL). Prior to his time with the Phantoms, Murray was head coach of the Los Angeles Kings from 2008-09 to 2011-12, coaching the team to a 139-106-30 record in that time.
Murray began his coaching career as an assistant coach with the Washington Capitals in the 1983-84 season.
