Amir Khan has been duped into thinking that he was in line to fight Floyd Mayweather many times in the past before having the football pulled out from right in front of him, but this time he really thinks it will happen.
The British-born fighter, who defeated Chris Algieri two weeks ago, says a fight with Mayweather could be finalized in the next two weeks.
“I don’t think I have ever been closer to getting the fight with Floyd Mayweather than I am at this moment,” Khan said via The Guardian. “The indications are that I have strengthened my case with my win over Algieri and I believe there is every chance the fight could be confirmed within the next two weeks.
